TABZOOKA Add to Chrome

Privacy policy

Effective September 30, 2026

Tabzooka is a Chrome extension game. This policy covers the extension and tabzooka.com. The short version: the game runs on your computer, the page you play on never leaves it, and we don’t sell or share anything.

What the extension can access

Tabzooka asks for three Chrome permissions and no host permissions:

  • activeTab and scripting, so it can start the game on the tab you choose, only when you click the Tabzooka icon or press the shortcut.
  • storage, so it can remember your settings and progress on your computer.

The game reads the layout of the page you start it on so it can turn the page’s text and images into a level. That happens in your tab. The page’s content is never sent anywhere, never stored by us and never sold. Tabzooka does not run on other tabs and does not collect your browsing history.

What’s stored on your computer

These are kept in Chrome’s extension storage (chrome.storage) on your device:

  • Your game settings.
  • Your scores and the name you use on the leaderboard.
  • Your records: for each site you’ve played on, the site’s name with your level, checkpoints and best run in each mode.
  • A cached copy of what you’ve unlocked, and the email you used to unlock it, so the game doesn’t have to check every time.

Removing the extension deletes this data.

What’s sent, and when

Nothing else is sent. There are no analytics, no ads and no tracking in the extension or on this website.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe Checkout. You enter your card details on Stripe’s page, not ours, and we never see or store them. Stripe keeps a record of the purchase and the email it belongs to. When you press Restore, our billing API asks Stripe whether that email has a purchase and tells the extension what to unlock. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the data it handles.

Multiplayer and the leaderboard

Same Wi-Fi games are grouped by your network’s public IP address, which the relay sees when you connect. The relay passes game messages between players in a room. It holds room details only while the room is open, and other players on your network can see the host’s name, hero and page address in their list of games. Leaderboard entries (name, score and mode) are public and keep only each player’s best entry per mode. Don’t use your real name if you’d rather not.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell, rent or share your data.
  • We don’t use your data for advertising or to judge creditworthiness.
  • We don’t read the pages you play on off your device.

Children

Tabzooka isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can play without ever giving an email, joining a room or posting a score. To have a leaderboard entry removed, or to ask what we hold about your email, write to support@tabzooka.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
